hdtv......? im getting an hdtv and i have comcast digital cable should i upgrade to comcast hd or get direct tv.........

Can you really notice the difference between HDTV and a regular DVD? My standard dvd player shows an amazing picture on my HDTV. I am getting an HD receiver next week and just wondering if the picture will be getting any sharper. I am told it will, but how is possible for the eyes to see anything sharper than a dvd? For you people watching HDTV...Do you really see a difference between HDTV (HD source) and watching a regular DVD?

How do you record hdtv programmes from the tv and upload it onto a computer? Hey! I'm in the UK and have downloaded a few programmes that I can't get here and would like to know how to upload British shows for friends in the States. What is the diference between and hdtv and an hdtv compatible tv? We have a ps3 and I have heard that we won't get the awesome graphics unless we have an hdtv. I've seen televisions at walmart that say hdtv on them that are only like two hundred dollars. Is this because it's not actually an hdtv? How come I cant get my hdtv to show hd quality? I bought a hitachi plasma 42 inch hdtv and just bought a hd box from suddenlink, but even after connecting everything the way it should be the channels that should broadcast in hd still look pretty bad.
